Nearing Home by Billy Graham

I had the privilege of reading my very first book by Billy Graham. I was attracted to read this book as Billy Graham is a highly respected Christian evangelist.

I was a little reluctant to read this book as it appears to be a book about retirement age and I have some years to come before I can assume that role.  While it is true many of the chapters do pertain to living life in the later years, it is also a book about living your life no matter what age you are.
Billy Graham states the idea of writing this book came from an interview he did a few years ago. When asked in the interview his thoughts on death, he commented that he had been taught all of his life how to die, but no one had ever taught him how to grow old.  This book is about how to grow old and how to treasure the adventure while getting there.
Filled with scripture references and Mr. Graham’s personal accounts from decades of a life dedicated to serving the Lord, “Coming Home” is probably one of the last chapters of this great man’s life and a worthy read for anyone who wants to hear a little bit of wisdom from a man who is finishing his life well.
~ I received a complimentary copy of this book through BookSneeze in exchange for my honest review.
